US Army 1st Cavalry Medevac Patch

US Army 1st Cavalry Medevac Patch

First Cav medevac — the air ambulance crews who flew the First Team's wounded out of every LZ in Vietnam.

The 1st Cavalry Division's medevac detachments conducted helicopter ambulance operations across Vietnam, supporting one of the Army's most storied divisions during the war. The 1st Cav pioneered airmobile warfare, and their Dust Off crews were an essential part of that doctrine — flying UH-1 Hueys into the hottest landing zones to evacuate casualties under fire.

Perfect For:
1st Cavalry Division medevac veterans, First Team Dust Off crews, Vietnam airmobile personnel, and military medical aviation patch collectors.

First Cav. First to fly. First to medevac.
